At age 26, American Amber Rachdi was known for her determination and fight against obesity. At only five years old, she weighed almost 70 kg and in adult life weighed almost 290 kg. His relationship with food was always compulsive and it only got worse over the years. Because of her condition, she could not walk without help, let alone prepare her own food, drive or exercise.

"My relationship with food was not healthy. I spend a good part of the day worried about what and when I go I am very anxious and it bothers me, "he told an interview with DailyMail.

Amber lived in the US state of Oregon with her parents and her boyfriend, Rowdy, and had stopped leaving the house, not wanting to be seen with her appearance at the time. On the rare occasions when she and Rowdy went to the grocery store to shop together, she had to move around in strollers for people with walking difficulties. Her boyfriend never complained about her weight, but over time it ended up affecting their intimacy and he started to get frustrated with the situation.

The weight heavily affected Amber and her family's daily routine. At this stage, she was eating four or five gigantic meals a day, plus sweets and desserts. Then in 2014 she received the news that she would continue to live in that form would only survive until she was 30 years old. So she decided to take extreme steps to control the situation.

She started an intense weight loss process, had a stomach reduction operation and managed to lose half of her weight over the past few years. Seven months after the surgery Amber had lost more than 40 pounds, including too much fluid. Motivated by her success, she worked harder, starting to exercise and preparing her own meals.

To tell her story, Amber participated in the program "My 600 lb Life" (series known in Brazil as Quilos Morais) of the TLC broadcaster with the aim of showing the ups and downs as an incentive for people who also go through similar situations. In addition to maintaining a much healthier life, now she is even doing therapy to learn better ways to deal with stress.

Today, Amber is followed by more than 7,000 people on Instagram and has become a true model for all people who are overweight. After slimming more than 120kg, it is difficult to look at the photos is to say that it is the same person, the change is impressive.
