How Giani managed to lose weight after 26 years of trying
"It's not possible that you're losing weight by eating this salad bar and without medicine," was what 45-year-old pedagogue Giani Pereira heard from her sister-in-law. But, to Giani's own surprise, she was losing weight, and now she has eliminated 17 kilos since the Diet and Health slimming program began.
Giani has been fighting the scales for 26 years. "When I got married, I started taking contraceptives and I gained weight, going from 53k kg to 60 kg, then I became pregnant and I gained 30 kilograms, I have been fighting with the balance ever since", recalls Giani
To lose weight, she has tried everything . Giani went on to do crazy diets, such as soup or USP, which even led to weight loss, followed by rapid weight gain. Giani also took pills to lose weight. "I had a remedy that I took and I stayed two whole nights without sleep, I took the manipulated ones and they also did me harm." After all these attempts, Giani knew the method of diet of the points of Diet and Health and decided to try. For her, the biggest challenge in following the Diet and Health was to stay within the score on weekends. "I came from a large family that always organizes barbecues with lots of meats and soft drinks, so I started replacing soft drinks with water and eating a lot of salad, so I felt satiated and ate less meat." It was enough for the family to gather that Giani was about to help prepare the salad. At the parties, the piece of cake and the consumed snacks also diminished a lot.
With the Diet and Health, Giani discovered that it is possible and much better to lose weight by eating breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. "I used to make dinner for my family, but I did not eat it, instead I used to eat bread and juice, because I thought that eating dinner would make me thin, I had dinner with my family, I had no idea that I could lose weight like that." She also had a healthier breakfast with oatmeal, linseed, and whole wheat bread, and these habits came to predominate in her eating.
Giani also bought classic spoons and glasses to use as measurements. "Before, I did not have much of a sense of quantity and I ended up eating a lot more."
With all these changes, Giani lost 17 pounds and his self-esteem changed completely. "People come to tell me how much I lost weight and I'm feeling more beautiful.My pants were No. 48, now I'm very happy using No. 44. The day I bought the first # 44 pants was incredible, because it was 20 years ago that I did not quit no. 48 ".
Algae are part of the traditional food of various Asian countries, mainly Japan, where 25% of the menu is composed of these plants. In Brazil, they are still little known and considered exotic. But it may be an option to vary the dishes and an ally of those who are trying to lose weight. Professor of the Department of Biology of the University of São Paulo (USP) Eurico Cabral de Oliveira explains that algae have minimal fat content and many vitamins, proteins and fibers, as well as types of carbohydrates that our body has no ability to digest.
Scientists found that people who slept for six hours or less had an abdominal circumference of three inches higher than those who slept nine hours a night. Shorter sleep is also associated with reduced levels of good cholesterol in the body.
