Barbara lost 27 kg with food reeducation:

Professor Barbara Regina de Oliveira, 31 years old , spent much of his life in a constant struggle with the balance, something that caused him suffering. "Maybe someone who has never been obese does not know how sad it is to suffer a lifetime because of their weight, what it is like to be humiliated as a child with bad nicknames and be rejected as a teenager."

Weight problems worsened after unsuccessful breast reduction surgery. "Eleven years ago I did this surgery, but I had several problems in the postoperative period and I had to perform other procedures to correct them. This ended my self-esteem, I could not go out, I did not want to go to school anymore, embarrassed my body and counted on the food. "

Barbara began to eat compulsively. "I ate by instinct, will, I had no control, if I wanted to eat a bowl of ice cream, I would eat," he recalls. And so Barbara followed for years. The result? The 9-foot-3-pound girl weighs 83 kg!

The Diet That Did not Wait for Monday

On a Sunday in August 2014, Barbara received some family members at home for a lunch. "After we went to a park, we took several photos and my cousin posted on Facebook. At the time I saw one of the photos I went into total despair. There seemed to be a buoy in my belly! In addition, I wore my husband's T- legging and slipper ". Seeing this image, Barbara decided it was time to move. "I went to the grocery store to buy healthy food on Sunday, I did not want to wait until Monday."

Food re-education

Barbara had tried some crazy diets. "They were all very restrictive, it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon and I wanted to eat something off the menu and the diet was already going down," he recalls. However, after some research on the internet she decided to participate in the Diet and Health slimming program. "What made me adept is that because it was a diet of points I could eat whatever I wanted, as long as it was within my score." To download the free Diet and Health application, click here.

With the help of the Diet and Health, Barbara learned to eat in a balanced way. "Before I ate fruits, vegetables, and vegetables, but very little and it was not daily." Today, like great varieties of these foods every day. "

Barbara's great temptation, sweets, are still on the menu, much more discreet. "During the week, I can control myself well and the candy does not come in. On weekends, like a candy when I leave, but without abuse."

Throughout the weight loss process, Barbara did not face the Diet and Health as a diet, but rather as a food re-education. "So I do not take anything from my menu, but I choose to eat smaller amounts of the more caloric foods." Another important issue during diet re-education was feeding every three hours, which included main meals and the intermediate snacks. Before entering the program, Barbara did not eat breakfast, and as a consequence, she ate large portions in the morning and lunch snacks. "Now I eat often and I'm always satiated."

The information was also a great ally of Barbara's weight loss process. At first, she did not know what carbohydrates, proteins, or what foods were the best choices. With the help of the Diet and Health and food reporting, she understood what was best to consume and what should be avoided. "I learned to read labels to see what was really healthy and what was not, and finally, I started to drink a lot more water, I now consume two liters a day and I always walk with a bottle."

Allied to the reeducação food, Barbara left the sedentarismo and began to practice a series of activities. First, she started with the pilates and then for functional exercises, muay thai, cross fit and running. "In my first functional training class I thought I was going to die, I could not complete an exercise, and over time I got better and understood that it was not that difficult, I was very sedentary."

Barbara already participated and completed four 5 and 6 km races. "Completing a race was so surreal to me. I made a six-kilometer run with so many slopes that I did not think I could handle, but the moment I was able to finish was inexplicable, all my racing colleagues were there cheering for me, it was very satisfying" .

All of Barbara's efforts were worth it and she lost 27 kg in a year and four months! In addition, she gained health and regained her self-esteem. "With my change, I have gained a life."

For those who want to lose weight, Barbara leaves the message: "you need to change something inside you, get out of your comfort zone and be determined. , at every meal I have to control bad habits of a lifetime.I kill a lion per meal, but it's worth it. "
