Brazilians use the pill in the wrong way and dispense a condom, says study

Confusions about taking the contraceptive pill are quite common among women. Just like us, maybe you've already forgotten the pill for a few hours or even for a whole day and was desperate to figure out what to do to fix the problem. However, a survey conducted by Bayer in nine countries, together with the Federal University of São Paulo, showed that this is even more common among Brazilians.

In Brazil, 58% of them forget the pill at least once a month , against 39% of the world average. The survey was conducted with 4,500 women between the ages of 21 and 29. In addition, more than half of them said they took the pill at different times every day and 40% of them did not see the need to use it at the same time.

Another finding of the study was that women who did not take pill at the same time were more likely to forget the tablet that day. The Brazilian women are also the ones who least combine the pill with the use of the condom. To give you an idea, 29% of Americans use the two methods together, while only 6% of women keep this habit, ranking behind only the Irish, where the rate is 5%.
