Fiber and Whole Grains Decrease Risk of Colorectal Cancer
The analysis combined results from 25 studies involving altogether almost two million people. The results show that every 10 grams of fiber daily can reduce 10% of the risk of colon and rectum cancer. The addition of three parts (90 g / day) of whole grains was associated with a reduction of about 20%.
No significant evidence was found that fiber from fruits or vegetables reduces the risk of colorectal cancer .
