Improve brain activity by defeating the creative block

Improve brain activity by defeating the creative block

Creativity it is process and perspective that transforms, invents, generates and produces. Things, images, colors, words, sounds, tastes, smells, times ... All things and people can be objects of creativity, even the process and perspective itself. The fact is that creativity needs to be realized. That is, to leave the world of "travel" and to be real, whether in the arts, science, children's games or even in the financial maintenance of our daily life.

Architect P.J. contacted to address her creative blockade. For months, she could not make her drawings and watercolors and could not imagine the reasons for it. I decided to use Brainspotting to "unlock" your creativity. A week later she returned saying that her weekend was productive. "I made several, several drawings ...", celebrated the architect. In the weeks that followed, he realized that his creativity in architecture was potentiated.

"Neuroscience advances and psychology brings tools capable of unlocking creativity"

For neuroscience, the place of invention is first and foremost our body, and our brain is the mentor of this process. If it is blocked our whole life suffers the consequences. The freer the "talk" between your neurons, the greater the possibilities of neural combinations, so the creativity will be greater. When blocking occurs, there is a patterning of brain connections that leads to repetition of thoughts, emotions and actions or even the dreaded "white." Fortunately, advances in neuroscience and psychology bring tools that can unlock creativity and generate more health: Brainspotting and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

While Brainspotting diagnoses and treats symptoms that can not be worked out by our consciousness, it reaches the brain system that permanently maps all the body levels, synchronizing information. By leveraging this natural mechanism, the technique identifies imbalances, facilitates the organism to process mismatches, and fosters a healthier and more creative state.

EMDR is another technique of psychology. To understand it, it is necessary to know something about the mentor of our functioning, the brain.

Composed of subdivisions - areas with different biochemical characteristics - it is divided between right and left hemispheres: on the right side predominates the command of our emotions and artistic potential, on the left, the connections which regulate our rational and logical capacity.

Another important division comes from the evolution of man as an animal. So, in a simplified way we can say that we have three brains: the "reptilian brain," which is based on instincts; the "mammalian brain," based on emotions and the "human brain," which thinks, speaks, creates, and uses instruments. So many differences in the brain hinder the synchrony between reason, emotion, and action. They also make it difficult to "digest" the experiences we experience, forming neural patterns that resist innovation.

EMDR activates multiple brain areas through bilateral sensory stimulation. During the process, there is an increase in energy exchange between the "different brains" and their hemispheres, which improves communication and versatility among neurons.

For some time, I have been able to experience the effects of these techniques in my own life. I was able to live without the panic and depression that accompanied me for years. The changes were so significant that I decided to abandon my career in multinationals to open my own practice, thus sharing in practice the results of EMDR and Brainspotting.

Dance involves body and mind: activity can help in the treatment of depression

Life is full of obstacles, so you have to take one step at a time. Assuming this attitude is a great way to help those who are suffering from a fairly common evil: depression. To promote awareness on the subject, Libbs Pharmaceuticals, in partnership with the Ivaldo Bertazzo Institute, has created a project called Next Step , which offers free dance classes for people with a history of depression.
