Know the types of wicks that give new life to your hair
California lights, reflections, and strands are ideal for women who have never dyed their hair and want to know how they look different in their locks. "Lights are the softest method of all, and they look good on most hairs," says hairdresser Claus Borges of the 1838 salon. Like all chemistry, these procedures do damage to the hair. Therefore, extra care is needed if you decide to adopt any of them.
The lights work as a sort of visual illuminator, as they discolour about 50% of the wires. The technique consists of spreading fine wicks across the head, whitening hair color in up to three shades. If, after several trips to the hairdresser, you get too blonde, you can make negative lights, which may be the natural color of your locks.

Another usefulness of the lights is the correction of an unsuccessful coloring. "When my customers do not like the final result of the tincture, I always suggest lights, since they can be done right after the procedure of painting the hair and change the result a lot, which can darken or lighten the yarn, depending on the will of each one" , recommends the hairdresser Maria Lucia dos Santos.
According to the hairdresser Marcos Sales, care must be taken when making lights with paper. "The hair is very marked, with stripes too defined, losing the naturalness. Often black and white gives a zebra or aged appearance." His recommendation is to make lighter tips and darker roots. "This technique leaves the hair naturally illuminated and still allows retouching to occur only every four months," he says.
Reflections, whose wicks are more defined, clear from 80% to 90% of the wires. The method has been more popular. Nowadays, he is disdained by several professionals for giving an artificial air to the visual. It is recommended for anyone who wants to look good, but is not ready to face a full blonde.
California wicks, those in which only the tips are modified, are indicated for those who already have light wires, but want to give a burned beach appearance to wires. "If you get a black hair, you can not make a blonde Californian, you can make brown on top of the black, you have to take care not to carry it," advises Borges.
Since all of these methods are chemical based, the health of the locks may be impaired. Borges explains that any chemistry takes a percentage of the hair's protein. "If you do not restore it with daily care, it starts to dry until it resects," he says. His recommendations are to use shampoo with proteins, amino acids and vitamins, as well as a conditioner with various emollient agents, to make the yarn supple. Switching products is also important. "After that, we need to have the help of masks. Today there are already fast products that can be used during the bath," he says.
Manual lymphatic drainage consists of a technique that combines a set of specific maneuvers as well as gentle pressure and slow and steady rhythm that primarily act on the superficial lymphatic system. The goal of the technique is to drain excess fluid available in the interstitium (space between lymphatic vessels), which may be causing swelling, thereby increasing lymph transport and volume velocity.
The romanticism of the 1950s gave way to a phase of more rebelliousness which has gone from politics to music. It was the beginning of feminism, Bossa Nova, the Beatles and festivals. In this period, the English model Twiggy would be the icon of beauty that instituted the thinness and miniskirt. Tailleurs with three-quarter sleeves, tubinhas and skirts also made the fashion of the 1960s.
