Men like affection more than women, says study

In spite of the entrenched stereotype that women are more fond of demonstrations of affection than men, researchers at Indiana University in the United States have found practice to point to a completely opposite reality. The research, published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior

, counted on the collaboration of 200 men between 20 and 40 years old with their respective partners from five different countries, including Brazil, totalizing a thousand couples. The results showed that demonstrations of affection, such as kissing and hugging, did not contribute significantly to female happiness. On the other hand, men who kissed and hugged more were three times happier in their relationships than those who did not. Another striking finding was that women attributed their happiness to the growing quality of sexual intercourse. For them, the longer the relationship, the better the couple's dynamics. Men have cited happiness as responsible for the long duration of their relationships. What do women like?
