When you eat sugar-containing foods, bacteria present on the plaque of your teeth produce acids that attack your teeth and can cause tooth decay. Vaccine to treat terminal cancer aims to strengthen the immune system of cancer patients. Scientists at the Surrey Cancer Research Institute (SCRI) at the University of Surrey in London are going to test the efficacy and safety of a vaccine that aims to destroy tumors if treatment does not work. Therefore, it is a vaccine used in treatment, not prevention like the others.

To date the drug has been tested on two patients and it is estimated that about 30 patients are waiting to be study in the next two years. For the first time, the vaccine was given in combination with small doses of chemotherapy to stimulate the immune system.
