Mindfulness: learn to practice mindfulness

Mindfulness: learn to practice mindfulness

The term "mindfulness" is already well known and has been translated into Portuguese as "mindfulness." There are several techniques and exercises of the mind, structured training programs linked to the focus of attention, state of presence, perception, contact, observation and interaction. Everything can be done through the conscious or stimulating the unconscious, as the production of a mild hypnotic state and of sufficient duration for the process. To better understand it is necessary to have a grasp of the importance of the mental state and what it can mean.

The simple fact of being present, without judging, without evaluating or analyzing, can be a rich and powerful experience for well-being physical and mental health that mindfullness provides. There are several ways of connecting you can experience through this new model of mental training. It's a relatively subjective experience and great impact.

The benefits of this process are incredible. Our mind has healing power for emotional and physical issues, problem solving, decision making, etc. By stimulating the mind to a special state of attention, through mindfullness, new neural connections can form and with this, new learning processes can be stimulated. The real voyage of discovery is not to see new landscapes, but to have new eyes, as the writer Marcel Proust used to say.

In experiencing a training program through the perception of the breath, of the bodily sensations, of the movements of the body, you makes room for personal growth and change. There are many techniques that complete with mindfullness:

  • Meditation: you empty the mind
  • Hypnosis: you focus attention on something produced by you or the hypnotherapist who will be leading
  • New NLP code: through games of high performance that you can do alone or with a coach.
  • Avatar perception techniques: you focus your attention.

Each of them has a very similar purpose, for example, to focus attention on the simple, at the moment present in physical actions, emptying the mind or directing thought to something specific, etc.

Try to practice mindfullness at home!

You can invent your way to prepare your mind for the state of presence of mindfullness. You can practice these three exercises that are easy, simple and of great importance:

1) Bath: When bathing, put your attention to the present moment and everything that involves your bath: your body, texture, sensation, the water that touches you, the soap, etc. This mental movement is nevertheless a mild hypnotic state. All you have to pay attention to is what you are doing and happening here and now. With this, other thoughts, said intruders, are left aside, without them taking place of their objective. You can train more and more to be in charge of your thinking. You master your ideas and not the other way around.

2) Washing your face when you wake up: When washing your face when you wake up, you can do the same process described above. Your attention can and should be in the action performed, in your hands touching the face, the water, the soap, etc. The simpler the action performed the better, so you avoid deviations of attention and invasive emotions when the moment asks for your serenity and full capacity for the state of presence. Negative ideas, wrong beliefs, and malaise are eliminated by being full in the present.

3) Opening the front door: This can be a good training moment. Even for beginners, precisely, for being something done in a short space of time. Focus your mind on your actions. In your body, in your movement, in the weight of the key, in what your eyes see, in the lock in front of you, in the door, etc. What can you notice by eliminating your inner dialogue (that voice inside your mind)? How does your life become lighter by being in touch with things as they are and not as you fancy? Prove this new feeling of freedom.

The various practices involving a differentiated state of attention cited here are very useful for the process of mental stimulation and healing. Practicing them will give you new conditions of well-being and learning. Good luck in your here and now!
