Nursery is installed in a nursing home
A day care center running at the same address as a nursing home ?! This was the idea put into practice by the Intergenerational Learning Center and the Providence Mount St.Vincent Nursing Home, both in Seattle, United States.
Children up to the age of 5 visit daily about 400 elderly people living in the home and there they perform with them a series of activities, such as: music, dance and art. Coexistence teaches children about the normal aging process. For the elderly, this is a way of avoiding loneliness.

Couples with marital difficulties are more likely to have babies with sleep problems, says a study in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences at the University of Oregon, The researchers interviewed more than 350 families with children adopted in the first months of birth to eliminate the possibility that genetics could influence the relationship between marital instability and child sleep problems.
Technology is shaping the way children play. A toy brand wanted to understand these impacts and to evaluate the leisure habits of children up to 10 years of age. In the survey of 1,271 parents and caregivers in the United States in 2017, the researchers found that children spent about 19 hours a week in front of electronics, 15 hours playing at home away from the screens and only 11 hours with play outside, in the street or in the yard.
