Exercise improves sleep quality and productivity

A study published in the journal Mental Health and Physical Activity found that people who exercise at least 150 minutes of exercise per week sleep better and become more alert during the day than those who practice little or no exercise. The study was led by a researcher at Bellarmine University in the United States. The survey had more than 2,600 men and women ages 18-85. The results showed that people who practiced at least 150 minutes of physical activity per week had a 65% improvement in sleep quality. . The researchers hope that the new evidence will encourage the practice of exercise that, in addition to the benefits cited, still prevents a number of psychological and cardiovascular problems Exercise decreases risk of death from prostate cancer by up to 60%

Another study, conducted in association with the University of California and the Harvard School of Public Health in the United States, found that men with prostate cancer who have a routine to exercise are less likely to die from the disease. The study was conducted with more than 2,700 men diagnosed with prostate cancer who were followed up for 18 years.

Patients were randomly divided into three groups: the former was to engage in vigorous exercise (more than 3 hours per week), second, moderate exercise (between 90 minutes and 3 hours per week), and the third, light exercise (less than 90 minutes per week).

The physical activities practiced were walking, running, cycling, swimming and outdoor work . The results showed that both moderate and vigorous activity are beneficial to overall health, not only against the development of cancer. Those who practiced moderate and vigorous exercise had a 46% lower risk of dying from any cause.

However, vigorous activity alone was associated with a reduction in prostate cancer mortality. Men who did vigorous activity had a 61% lower risk of dying from prostate cancer.

The researchers concluded that men can reduce the risk of prostate cancer progression after diagnosis by adding physical activity to their daily routine.
