Short or poor sleep decreases body resistance
The function of sleep is to restore. And one of the reasons we need to restore our energies is the fact that when the body is rested, its immunity increases. Therefore, tiredness and fatigue favor the appearance of diseases related to the low defense of the organism.
From this premise, research was done to try to verify if the poor quality sleep was related to the onset of the cold. Scientists have found that people who deprive themselves of the right to get enough sleep at night are more susceptible to getting the flu. P>
One American study drew a parallel between the onset of the cold and the few hours of sleep. The researchers concluded that individuals who sleep less than seven hours a day are three times more susceptible to the virus causing the disease than those rested for a full night of restoration.

She further states that other diseases due to immunity deficiency may be related to the few hours of sleep. Some examples are lupus, arthritis and problems in the thyroid gland. Diabetes and cancer may also appear more easily in individuals who neglect the importance of well-nigh nights and change the body's rest hours for other activities, such as work and play.

In the specific case of the cold, there are two factors that can favor the appearance of the disease: insufficient number of hours and poor quality of sleep.
In the first case, it is necessary to sleep at least seven hours, with an ideal of eight hours on average, to remedy the problem. About sleep quality, the main thing is to avoid getting too much sleep at night by properly treating problems such as high snoring and sleep apnea.
How is it possible that sleep deprivation is occurring exceptionally due to an event not routinely, physicians recommend that in such cases, patients use preventative measures to prevent low immunity from becoming influenza.
One way to do this is to invest in the intake of greater amounts of vitamin C.
Once the number of hours of sleep returns to normal, however, it is recommended that the individual continues to ingest the vitamins through the fruit to raise their immunity to a level higher than that prior to the sleep problem.
