What is leishmaniasis?

This is an infectious disease, but not contagious, caused by parasites of the genus Leishmania. The parasites live and multiply inside the cells that are part of the individual's defense system, called macrophages. There are two types of leishmaniasis: tegumentary or cutaneous leishmaniasis and visceral leishmaniasis or karazar.

Tegumentary leishmaniasis is characterized by skin wounds that are most frequently located in the body's uncovered parts. Suddenly, sores on the mucous membranes of the nose, mouth, and throat may appear. This form of leishmaniasis is known as "bruised wound."

Visceral leishmaniasis is a systemic disease because it affects several internal organs, especially the liver, spleen and bone marrow. This type of leishmaniasis mainly affects children up to ten years old; after this age it becomes less frequent. It is a long-term disease, lasting for a few months or even over a year.

First, it is important to note that asthma is a disease that has no cure, neither for allopathic (conventional medicine) treatment as well as homeopathy. Asthma is defined as a chronic disease of the airways, so as I say in consultation, it has a beginning, but it has neither means nor end. This is the definition of chronic disease.
