Marijuana use can double the risk of car accidents
New study of Columbia University , in the United States, found that marijuana use increases the occurrence of car accidents. To conclude, the researchers looked at nine studies, of which eight concluded that drivers who use marijuana are more likely to get involved in traffic accidents. The exception was because of a smaller study conducted in Thailand, but the prevalence of herb use in this study was much lower than in the other studies.
According to the researchers, drivers who used marijuana for up to three hours before picking on the steering wheel have more than double the chances of being involved in motor vehicle accidents, regardless of which. The researchers also found evidence that the risk of an accident increases with the concentration of marijuana in the blood - which was measured according to urine tests and the patient's own report.
According to the study - whose results were published in the journal Epidemiologic Reviews - 28% of drivers involved in fatal accidents were under the effect of the drug. More studies will be needed to understand the relationship between cannabis herb and car accidents.
Marijuana may increase chances of testicular cancer
The use of the herb may also be related to tumors, according to a study conducted by the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo (Icesp). The result indicates that marijuana users are more likely to develop testicular cancer than non-users.
The survey was based on the 500 patients seen monthly at the Icesp urology clinic. Of the total, 30% had tumors in the testicles, and 70% were already in the advanced stages.
The results indicated that one in four patients with testicular cancer, or 25% of those attended at the unit, reported using marijuana regularly .
According to the researchers, surgeries of total or partial removal of the testicles and the prostate represent one-third of the 10,000 surgeries performed at the hospital. Testicular cancer is curable, especially if the problem is detected early.
Erectile Dysfunction Remedies (such as Pfizer's pioneering Viagra®) revolutionized the way we understood and treated erectile dysfunction and sexual impotence. Its active principle is sildenafil, but today, beyond it, there are tadalafil, vardenafil, lodenafila and novices such as udenfila and myrodenafila.
The use of estrogen alone has little influence in the risk of developing breast cancer, but it is associated with the risk of developing endometrial cancer. Hormone replacement is mainly due to the replacement of estrogen and / or progesterone. The hormone replacement most closely related to breast cancer is the one in which there is the use of associated hormones, ie tablets containing the combination of estrogen and progesterone.
