Yellow fever: SP City Hall resumes the vaccination campaign

On Tuesday (26), the São Paulo City Council recommenced the vaccination campaign against yellow fever in the South and North. The immunization had been interrupted for the Christmas recess.

The organ's expectation is to immunize 2.5 million people. The vaccine is not indicated for pregnant women, women breastfeeding children up to 6 months old and immunocompromised people, such as patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiation therapy or with corticosteroids in high doses (for example, lupus sufferers). In case of doubt, it is important to consult the doctor.

According to the City Hall, since October 21, when the immunization began, 1.1 million people were vaccinated in the North Zone. For the residents of rural areas of Parelheiros and Marsilac, there will be vaccination from house to house. The new target is to vaccinate 500,000 people in this stretch of the Southern Zone.
