Young people sell sweets to help children with cancer

Little Eduardo, only 3 years old, suffers from embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma, a cancer that attacks the cells responsible for giving rise to skeletal muscles. Dudu underwent surgery to remove the tumor in her belly and, to help with the costs of treatment, her family started selling chocolate.

The problem is that the number of exams and medicines was very high and, consequently, the expenses also. The antibiotic Actinomycin, for example, costs around 700 euros and Dudu needs 18 ampoules of it (about 12,600 euros).

To boost sales, the family announced the sale of chocolates by a group on Facebook. It was then that Bruna Tibinka, Helena Mercer and Luiza Campos, the friends of Letícia Bressan, mother of the Dudu, they found a way to help: they would make the candy to sell. In the "Dudu is my hero" page, created on Facebook, they advertise the goodies.

The offer of flavors created by the trio is ample. They sell foot bug brigadeiro, cheesecake, churros and lemon tart. Each box, sold for $ 10, brings a candy of each type. For the time being, students are taking advantage of the holiday period to produce candy, but when they return to school, they ensure they are going to split up to keep their sales at full throttle.
